Reece Cogswell is a zealous musician driven by a deep belief in music’s power to foster joy and connection.  At the heart of his playing is a playful energy and a commitment to serving the music, regardless of style.  With roots in jazz, rock, funk, and beyond, Reece brings an infectious, saturated groove to any musical setting.  As a composer, he draws from his wide-ranging influences to introduce fresh sounds to the world.  Reece earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and is based in New York City.  He is also a co-founder of the contemporary fusion quartet Communitas, whose debut album will be released soon.
